Collaborative Law - A Specialty of Able Counseling Services, LLC

What is Collaborative Divorce?
Collaborative Divorce, also called Collaborative Law or Collaborative Practice and is a kinder, gentler way of divorcing. It uses a highly trained specialty team dedicated to solving the problems of divorce in a respectful professional way without going to court.  With the support of a collaborative team, issues of property, support of children, and future financial decisions are settled in a mutually acceptable way for all of the parties involved.

Collaborative Divorce Practice
Deborah Shugars has specialized Interdisciplinary Team Training in Collaborative Law by Collaborative Divorce Team Trainings, LLC, and is qualified as a Child Specialist and a Divorce Coach. Collaborative Divorce Law is a kinder, gentler way to divorce, if divorce is inevitable.  Deborah is mental health professional who participates with a team of professionals. The team consists of two attorneys-one for each parent, a mental health professional such as Deborah for each parent in the role of the ‘Coach,’ a neutral financial professional, and a ‘Child Specialist’ who brings the voice of the children to the divorce process. This is a client-centered process for resolving conflict without going to court. The team encourages mutual respect as a way of dissolving the marriage.
